The Rewilding School

Marsh Sanctuary is host to an environmental education program coordinated by The Rewilding School.

The Rewilding School is a Westchester-based organization, owned and directed by Eric Stone that provides educational and personal growth programs focusing on connecting with nature and the environment. The Rewilding School is a nature-based outdoor education organization that offers year-round programs for children, families, and adults focused on learning through direct interaction with the natural world. It emphasizes curiosity, play, hands-on skills, and connection with the outdoors rather than traditional classroom schooling.

The three programs offered by The Rewilding School at Marsh Sanctuary are the Forest Playgroup, School Break Day Program, Wild Ones (ages 10 months to 2 years), and Wildings (ages 2 to 4 years).

The Rewilding School’s mission of providing young people a place to explore and learn in a natural environment aligns perfectly with the Marsh mission of providing a place of sanctuary.
