Raise The Roof II Silent Auction - July 7, 2022

​This year more than ever Marsh Sanctuary has been a true refuge for so many.  On Thursday July 7th we are hosting our fundraising party and silent auction. With the funds  generated by Raise the Roof II we will not only put a much needed new roof on the Stables and Main House, but we will continue to protect our land and provide a safe and  beautiful environment for all wildlife and you!

Live Edge Custom Woodworks, has generously donated a beautiful cutting board that was  created from felled trees from the Marsh Sanctuary. Jason Garritt, our resident naturalist, started Live Edge because of his love for woodworking and the ability to re-purposed discarded materials and create something lasting.

Primroses!

Anita and John Stockbridge, neighbors and tireless advocates for the preservation of  Marsh Sanctuary, and known throughout the Bedford’s gardening community, have donated their famous primrose plants from their magnificent garden! Anita’s primroses are a stunning display of spring color. Once established in a wet area, primroses self-seed and will bring joy and gorgeous spring color in the whole month of May for years to come. Approximately 40 plants will be available to bring home by arrangement with Anita. Generously donated by Anita and John Stockbridge, Marsh Sanctuary friend and neighbor.

The Marsh Sanctuary is a 156-acre nature preserve with trails, open space, a community garden, and a commitment to the protection of wildlife.  It is home to the largest freshwater marsh in Westchester County. The Sanctuary is open to the public from dawn to dusk 365 days a year, free of charge. We hope you will bring your friends and family to enjoy a nature walk on our hiking trails or relax in our open meadow.
